Kaplja (meaning “drop” in Slovenian) is Damijan’s iconic white blend. Grapes undergo 60–90 days of maceration in large oak vats, then age for three years in 20–30 hl barrels and another year in bottle before release. The Friulano brings a lifted aromatics, the Malvasia carries the citrusy freshness, and Chardonnay rounds everything out with depth and texture. In the glass it shows notes of lemon zest, apricot, and fresh herbs, layered with cream and subtle oak spice. Rich and textural, yet balanced with a lively acidity — a wine that feels both grounded and surprisingly refreshing.
