Momento Mori is a small-scale winery run by Dane and Hannah Johns in Gippsland, Victoria. They farm their own vineyards under strict organic principles, while also working with growers across Victoria who share their interest in sustainable and natural farming.

Their philosophy begins with respect for the living: organic farming, no-tech, fine natural wines. The wines are made in small ferments with wild yeast, no oak and no winemaking additions, allowing each parcel and variety to find its own shape.

The range moves through aromatic whites, skin-contact wines and lighter reds, often built around Italian and Mediterranean varieties well suited to Victoria’s warmer growing areas. The wines are fresh and expressive, sometimes unusual, but rarely heavy.

Momento Mori is not chasing polish or consistency for its own sake. These are wines made with consideration and integrity—idiosyncratic, full of character, and above all, alive.
