wines

Xiao Pu means “small garden.” Ian Dai started the project in 2017, after working as a sommelier and wine educator. He was in Ningxia to teach about wine when a vineyard just outside the classroom got him thinking: what could he make from the grapes growing there?
Today he works with growers across China, moving between regions as the grapes come in. The wines are naturally fermented, aged in old barrels and blended for freshness and drinkability. There’s Pinot Noir, skin-contact whites, pét-nat and plenty more. Xiao Pu doesn’t stick to one place or one style; Ian keeps following the fruit and seeing where it leads.
