Collection: Le Mazel-Valvignères-Ardèche-France

photography Not Drinking Poison

Le Mazel is a family farm in Valvignères where Gérald and Jocelyne Oustric tend roughly 22 hectares of vines. They’ve been working organically for decades and make wine in a hands-off way: spontaneous ferments, little to no fining, neutral vessels or concrete and sometimes large casks.

Le Mazel’s wines are sunny, aromatic and often a bit wild at the edges -joyful rather than severe. These are wines to share with friends, to drink slightly chilled or to cellar for a few years; they’re beloved for their openness and for giving classic Rhone/Ardèche varieties a vivid, natural expression.
